Based on your introductions, your workshop facilitator will put in in groups of approximately 3-4 people based on the grade level or subject matter that you teach. Each group will be assigned a number which you will use to post your results.
Pre-Training - Part 1
Definition of Terms
Begin by going into your group. Together, conduct online research and then answer these three questions: 1. What is Online Ethics? 2. List 3 or more areas of concern for teachers in regard to their students? 3. List 3 good websites for teachers to help them with teaching online ethics.
Here are some avenues to help you get started: 1. Use:

www.dictionary.com (try Internet and then also ethics and combine the two)

Project Creation
Participants create their projects with their groups. Create 2 or 3 cartoon strips that you would use with your class to introduce a cyber ethics consideration prior to the start of your identified lessons. Click here for an example
Project Sharing
Each group will post their definition of online ethics, three identified areas of concern, three teacher resource websites, and the link to their cartoons. See the Pre-training part 2 screencast for instructions on how to post these items.
Participants will review the Teacher Posts link to see the results of other groups. Go to the 8847 Teacher Posts link.
Each group will get up and share with the rest of the class one of their cartoon strips and describe which lesson plan it was intended to introduce. If time allows, each group might share a second cartoon.
